Book Buying Habits Tag!

I wasn’t tagged for this but I’ve seen it on a few blogs so I thought I’d give it a go! This tag was created by Megan Oliver on booktube!

1 // Where do you buy your books from?
Usually when I buy online I buy from Book Depository or BookTopia and sometimes Barnes and Noble. If I want to go to a bookstore then I go to Dymocks, QBD, Robinsons or Collins. And if I want cheaper books I’ll head to Big W or Kmart.

2 // Do you ever pre-order books and if so do you do this in store or online?
I actually had never pre-ordered a book before this year and I’ve only done it a couple of times. But I don’t really feel the need to pre-order unless I’m really excited about a book.

3 // On average, how many books do you buy a month?
I don’t think I have an average… I usually get at least 10 a month though every month is different.

4 // Do you use your local library?
I do not. My town is super small and doesn’t really have a library. The closest one to me doesn’t have a great selection and I don’t want to go into the city for it so I tend to just buy my books.

5 // What is your opinion on library books?
I think they’re great! Definitely much more affordable.

6 // How do you feel about second hand books?
Though I rarely every buy them, I don’t have a problem with them as long as they’re in relatively good condition.

7 // Do you keep your TBR pile on your main bookshelves or no?
I keep all my TBR books separate from my main shelves. My TBR books take up 2 shelves on my 3rd bookcase and I like knowing they’re all in one spot instead of all over the place.

8 // Do you plan to read all of the books you own?
Yes! Though my TBR pile just keeps getting bigger…

9 // What do you do with books do you feel you will never read/did not enjoy?
I usually take them to the Salvation Army or I give them to friends who I think will like them.

10 // Have you ever donated books?
Yes! I donated a pile at the beginning of the year!

11 // Have you ever been on a book buying ban?
I went on a book buying ban in April and it was SO HARD. But somehow I managed to stick with it… Though my friend bought me a lot of books.

12 // Do you feel that you buy too many books?
Sometimes… Buy I LOVE BOOKS, they’re my babies and I’ll always love them and they look pretty so I don’t have a problem with it.
